By participating in this promotion, the Contestant (“You”) agree to be fully unconditionally bound by these Rules and conditions, and You represent and warrant that You meet the eligibility requirements. In addition, You agree to accept the decisions of Wake Up! Hostels / Wake Up! Trust as final and binding as it relates to the content of this Campaign. Entries must comply with these conditions to be valid.

Promoter

1.The Promoter of the Promotion is Wake Up! Trust (ABN: 98 723 526 825) of 509 Pitt Street, Haymarket NSW 2000 Australia. No purchase or payment of any kind is necessary to enter or win this Promotion. By entering this campaign, entrants may agree to receive information and marketing communications from Wake Up! Hostels and its affiliates.

Eligible Entrants

2. Entrants must be aged 18 years and over at the time of entry.

2.1 The Promotion is open to residents of the United Kingdom only.

2.2 The Promotion is void in all countries other than the United Kingdom and where it is prohibited by law or where the Promotion is subject to registration requirements. Individuals located in a country restricted by applicable controls and sanctions or other laws or regulations as they relate to this Promotion are ineligible to participate in the Promotion. Each entrant must ensure that his or her participation in the Promotion (including the acceptance of any prize awarded) is lawful in accordance with the laws of the country of which he or she is a citizen and/or resides, and/or happens to be at the time the entry is made. Wake Up! Hostels shall not be taken to make any representations, express or implied, as to the lawfulness of any individual’s participation, or as to any other aspect of the Promotion.

2.3 The Promoter reserves the right to request proof of eligibility. Decisions as to eligibility will be made in the Promoter’s absolute discretion, and no correspondence will be entered into in relation to any such decision.

Promotion Period

3. The Promotion commences on Friday, 20 September 2024 at 6:00pm Australian Eastern Standard Time (AEST) and concludes on Friday, 18 October 2024 at 4.00pm AEST. No entries will be accepted after this time. Entrants are responsible for determining the corresponding time zone in their current location.

How to Enter

4. This Promotion is a game of chance. To enter, entrants must during the Promotion period complete the following to receive 1 Eligible Entry.

4.1 To enter, entrants must during the Promotion period visit https://wakeup.com.au/news/win-a-trip-to-australia/ and complete the Promotion entry form in full and in English.

4.2 For an entry to be considered valid, Entrants must complete all required fields on the entry form, including First Name, Last Name, Email Address and Country of residence. Entrants have the option of adding their Instagram or TikTok handle, which does not constitute a required field.

4.3 Entrants must read these Terms & Conditions and tick the box where indicated to confirm the Terms & Conditions have been read and agreed to.

4.4 Entrants must tick the box to agree to sign up to receive Wake Up! marketing communications.

4.5 Entrants have the option to receive bonus entries by completing the following:

4.6 The Promoter is not responsible for any incomplete, delayed, misdirected entries or entries that cannot be delivered due to network disruptions or congestion, technical issues or for any other reason. Additionally, Entrants are responsible for any costs associated with entering the completion or accessing the entry-form.

4.7 Only one entry is permitted per person. If the Promoter suspects that a person has submitted multiple entries using pseudonyms, it may disqualify all of those entries.

Judging Criteria and Prize Draw

5. This Promotion is a game of chance, and requires the winner to have completed a valid entry.

5.1 Your chance of winning depends on the total number of valid entries.

5.2 The winner will be drawn via a random computer process within one week of the Promotion closing. Winners are randomly selected from all successful entries.

5.3 The Promoter’s decision in relation to any or all aspects of this Promotion is at its complete discretion, final and binding on all persons who enter this Promotion, and no correspondence will be entered into.

Prize Details

6. The prize includes:

• Return flights to Sydney, Australia for 1 person (up to the value of $3,000 AUD)
• 14 nights accommodation at Wake Up! Hostels, to be used between each of Wake Up! Sydney, Wake Up! Bondi Beach and Wake Up! Byron Bay.
• $300 AUD Food and Beverage voucher, which can be spent at/across Roy’s Cafe (Wake Up! Sydney), Side Bar (Wake Up! Sydney), Salty’s Bondi (Wake Up! Bondi) and The Pool Bar (Wake Up! Byron Bay).
• $300 AUD Travel Credit which can be used for local tours, travel and experiences and a 1:1 Personalised Session with a Travel Expert
• Transfers between Sydney to Byron Bay (up to the value of $200 AUD)
• VIP Aussie Essentials Pack (up to the value of $50 AUD)

Total prize pool is valued up to $5,000 AUD (GST inclusive).

Prize Terms

7. The following Prize Terms apply:

7.1 Prize must be claimed and used within 12 months of the winner being contacted.

7.2 Return-trip flights will be given by way of a gift voucher for a Flight Booking Agency applicable to the winner’s location (for example, Flight Centre), up to the value of $3,000 AUD. If the flight (and ancillary costs) exceeds the value of the flight prize, the winner will be liable to pay the difference.

7.3 Accommodation will be booked directly with Wake Up! and is subject to blackout dates below**.** Accommodation is for 1x bed in a Shared Room, to be spread between the three Wake Up! locations (Sydney, Bondi Beach, Byron Bay).

7.4 Accommodation blackout dates include (but are not limited to) mid December to early January and Easter.

7.5 Any additional fees, such as airport/departure taxes, security charges or other third party fees, taxes or charges are not included. The Winner is solely liable for reporting and paying any and all applicable taxes including but not limited to, personal tax, service tax and other entertainment tax due as a result of winning the Prize and Wake Up! Hostels accepts no responsibility for any tax implications arising as a result of the Prize.

7.6 Travel Credit and 1:1 Personalised Session with a Travel Expert is to be used at Travel Up! (Wake Up! Sydney).

7.7 Prize is not transferable, not refundable and not redeemable for cash, and no compensation will be paid if winner is unable to use all/any part of the prize or has to make amendments to their booking. Any attempt to resell or auction all or any part of this prize will result in an immediate cancellation of the prize.

7.8 For the avoidance of doubt, the prize does not include spending money, additional flight costs, additional meals, taxes, passports, visas, extra accommodation, items of a personal nature, inoculations, travel to and from departure point, additions to stipulated itineraries and offered flights and all other ancillary costs are the responsibility of the winner. Unless expressly stated, all other expenses become the responsibility of the winner.

7.9 The winner must contact Wake Up! Hostels at least six (6) weeks prior to their desired travel dates so the prize components can be arranged. All elements of the prize are subject to availability, which is not guaranteed, and must be utilised within 12 months of the winner being contacted.

7.10 Once booked in, no changes can be made. The promoter reserves the right to substitute any component of the prize for an itinerary of equal value at their discretion and to withdraw or amend the Promotion as necessary due to circumstances outside its control.

7.11 The Prize cannot be gifted to other persons in lieu of the winner not being able to travel. Should the winner not be able to complete all aspects of the itinerary within the period of prize validity, the remaining items shall be forfeited without any replacement for their value. The Prize winner will be required to agree to and sign to Wake Up! Hostel’s booking conditions when booking itinerary otherwise prize will be forfeited.

7.12 It is the traveller’s personal responsibility to ensure that they have valid documentation, including but not limited to: a valid and in-date passport and appropriate and valid entry visas (where applicable). Any fines, penalties, payments or expenditures incurred as a result of such documents not meeting the requirements of those authorities will be the sole responsibility of the traveller/s. If a traveler is unable to make use of some or all of the Prize due to their documents not being accepted, they will forfeit the Prize (or that part of it which they cannot access by virtue of that rejection).

Notification of Winner

8. Winner will be notified within seven (7) business days of the draw. The winner will be notified of their prize in writing via email. If a Winner cannot be contacted within 30 days of first email notification, or the winner has not confirmed receiving the prize in writing, that Winner will be deemed to have forfeited the Prize and the Promoter reserves the right to appoint a new winner by conducting a second chance draw.

Privacy

9. Personal data supplied during the course of this Promotion will only be processed as set out in the Promoter’s Privacy Policy.

9.1 The Promoter will collect Entrants’ personal information in order to conduct the Promotion and to conduct advertisements, publications, media statements and other promotional material associated with the Promotion.

9.2 By entering this Promotion, Entrants consent to being contacted by the Promoter for any purpose in connection with this Promotion.

9.3 If you win the Promotion, the Promoter may collect further information from you.

9.4 The Promoter collects this information in order to administer the Competition, provide the Prize, comply with applicable laws, and promote and market their products and services.

9.5 By entering this Promotion the Entrant agrees, in the event that they are the Prize Winner, to participate in such promotional activity as is reasonably requested by the Promoter, such as providing the Promoter with content for the Wake Up website, blog, e-newsletters, and social media channels for further marketing purposes following the Promotion.

9.6 By entering the Promotion, the Entrant consents to receipt of information (via email) regarding the Promotion and other emails or communications which inform the Entrant of the Promoter’s products, services, news, and blogs which the Entrant may be interested in. The Promoter may continue to provide the Entrant with this information for an indefinite period unless and until advised otherwise by the Entrant.

9.7 You agree and understand that Wake Up! Hostels and its affiliates shall have the right, where permitted by law to print, publish, broadcast, distrubute and use in any media now known or hereafter developed without limitation, your entry, name, statements for statements about the Campaign, public relations, promotional purposes and advertising without any further compensation, notice, review, or consent.

Liability

10. Each Entrant releases and holds the Promoter and its employees, agents, sub-contractors and consultants harmless from any and all losses (including, without limitation, indirect, special or consequential loss of profits), damages, rights, claims and actions of any kind in connection with the Promotion or resulting from acceptance, possession, or use of any Prize, including without limitation, personal injury, illness, expense, property damage and claims based on publicity rights, defamation, or invasion of privacy.
